Welcome to Rockwell Bistro & Wine Bar, a hidden gem nestled in the heart of London at 2 Spring Gardens, SW1A 2TS. This bistro is not just a dining destination; it is a celebration of exquisite flavors and an impressive selection of wines. A harmonious blend of modern elegance and classic comfort makes every visit a delightful experience.

As a food reviewer, I was particularly drawn to the carefully crafted menu, which features a variety of specialty coffees, perfect for any time of day. Whether you prefer the velvety richness of a mocha or the bold simplicity of an Americano, each cup is brewed with precision and care. For just £5.50, these expertly crafted drinks serve as a lovely accompaniment to your meal or an energizing pick-me-up.

The wine selection is equally impressive. With highlights like the 2023 Assyrtiko/Malagouzia from Thymiopoulos in Greece and the 2023 Verdicchio, Casal Di Serra from Umani Ronchi in Italy, the bistro offers an array of light and crisp wines that elevate the dining experience. For just £67.00, these wines bring brightness and elegance to your plate.

But let’s not overlook the sweet side of things. After a sumptuous meal, indulge in the rich flavors of Cockburn's White Port or Taylor's Tawny Port, with prices starting at just £9.00. These sweet and fortified selections perfectly round out your experience, making it unforgettable.

In my experience, dining at Rockwell Bistro & Wine Bar is more than just eating; it's about enjoying a moment. Had a lovely cheese and wine tasting at Rockwell Bistro & Wine Bar! The staff were so friendly and welcoming. Great selection of wines — from rosé to sweet — and the gorgonzola mixed with ricotta was an absolute standout. Perfect pairings and a cosy atmosphere. Will definitely be back!

Service is very good. I am very impressed by this level of service by the price they charge. They are not simply check whether the food is good( which I think is not very helpful anyway) but both waiter and waitress are warm and welcoming. Also pay attention to details. I just came to go toilet and probably get a quick bite, but end up with a nice stay with some wine, beef and finger food

Rockwell Bistro & Wine Bar – A Truly Memorable Birthday Celebration We’ve been visiting The Rockwell since 2018 and have always enjoyed our experiences there. However, yesterday felt like a real step up in terms of service and overall atmosphere. We had booked a table at the bar for 17:00 to celebrate my wife’s birthday. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted at the entrance by a lovely gentleman, who immediately made us feel welcome before escorting us to the main desk. From there, we were shown to a beautiful table by the window, where we were looked after by a young waiter whose customer service was nothing short of exceptional. Sometimes, visiting bars and restaurants in London on a Sunday can be hit or miss, but this was definitely a hit. The service was attentive without being overbearing, and the whole experience felt relaxed yet special, which really added to the celebration. If you’re in London and looking for somewhere to enjoy a great drink in a stylish setting with genuinely outstanding service, I can’t recommend The Rockwell Bistro & Wine Bar highly enough. It was an experience we’ll remember for all the right reasons.

Had a fantastic time at the cheese and wine pairing event! The atmosphere was relaxed and fun, and I learned a lot without it ever feeling too serious. The pairings were delicious, and the hosts were super knowledgeable and engaging. The hotel bar was also really comfortable and welcoming, which made the whole evening even better. Highly recommend for anyone who loves good food and a great night out.

The Rockwell is a lovely bar inside of the Trafalgar St. James Hotel. I made reservations for ‪8:00pm‬ on a ‪Thursday night‬ because that’s when the live jazz music starts. The environment was very laid back and the service was stellar. We weren’t super hungry, so opted for the hummus/pita bread and drinks. The hummus was delicious but we didn’t have enough pita bread. The drinks were good as well. Being in London, I figured I needed to try the sticky pudding and it was a nice treat. I didn’t have any expectations, but I enjoyed it. If you’re looking to unwind after a long day, this is the place for you.

Situated inside a fancy hotel, my friend and I came here for a nice evening out on Valentine’s Day to treat ourselves and this was the place we happened to stumble across. Immediately as we were seated, we felt quite special. The Valentine’s Day special menu was £72 for two people and contained 5 small plates which was a nice deal. We started off with cod croquettes which were crispy to perfection with a lovely tangy lemon and parsley sauce. My first time trying wagyu beef, was very tender, slightly chewy and melts in my mouth with the feta cheese coating the beef upon the mouthful. The second set of plates were delightful. The potato Mille-feuille was nice, though I couldn’t taste the caviar as much with the potato dish. I enjoyed the smoky tender beef cheek with extra crispiness to the skin. The cheesy mash was lovely. And lastly for dessert, we got the mochi doughnut with a strawberry sugar coating. It was soft and not too sweet - the biggest compliment given by Asians. The champagne sabayon sauce was indulgent and moreish. Overall, we were very satisfied and the dishes were marvellous. It was lovely to also have live jazz music playing as the evening unfolded. With a blend of French and Japanese cuisine, this was great. Considering this is my first time dining out like this, I am satisfied with the food and friendly service.
